PLR products are an important and integral part of many Internet Marketers business plans. But just what is a PLR? PLR stands for Private Label Rights. This means that you have rights to a product that you’ve purchased. The product could be an eBook, a script or program, an eCourse series or any number of digital products. When you purchased this item it came with Private Label Rights, meaning you have the right to do anything you want to do with it; you can leave it as is, slap your name on it and resell it. You can alter it, rewrite it and put your name on it and sell it. You can give it away to your clients as a bonus incentive for them to sign up for your mailing list. Let’s say you’ve purchased an eBook on How to Flip Websites for Profit. It’s come with graphics and charts and a delightful ecover and best of all, it’s come with full PLR’s. You’re running a website that gives helpful tips and information on how to create a website and then sell it for a profit. You’ve read through the eBook and you like most all of it but there are some points that aren’t covered so you add a chapter or two, change most of the graphics and put your name on it. It’s now yours. You think this eBook will enhance the offerings you already have posted on your website, so you add it and either sell it to your client list or give it away as a bonus. Let’s say you purchased the eBook from a writer for around $57. You’ve decided to sell it to your list at a discount at $37. Make sure you tell them you’re discounting this eBook so they understand that they’re getting a great deal. All you really have to do in order to recoup your investment is to sell two of these eBooks. In reality you will probably sell a lot more than just two of them because you’ve already developed a responsive client list that trusts you and is eager to learn from you. If you don’t have a web based business yet and you’ve discovered a killer PLR, you can develop a business around that particular product and promote it. Many online entrepreneurs don’t have the ability to create their own products and so they rely on PLR products, created by others in order to make an income.
